Salomon was created in 1947 in Annecy in France by François Salomon and was innovative in ski technology especially when it comes to the alpine boots. 19 years later the new technology was debuted in the 1966 World Alpine Championships and Salomon became a preferred binding for ski boots, becoming the worlds leading manufacturer in 1972. Nowadays Salomon is synonymous with hiking and there shoes have not only been at the forefront of hiking but has also made the intrinsic move to the fashion scene becoming ever popular with streetwear fashion.
Strong from two consecutive collaborations with The Broken Arm, the X-ALP LTR is back to shine a light on Salomon’s mountaineering history. Inspired by technical approach footwear, this shoe blends protective details and functional cues to alpinism with a premium material composition and fine detailing.
